On June 5th, Green and Smart Auto Shanghai 2024 (also known as GSA 2024), under the theme of “Technology Leading, Cross-border Innovation”, opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). With a total exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, the organizer of Auto Shanghai aims to make this exhibition the largest new energy vehicle exhibition held in Shanghai in even years. The show is concurrently held with the “2024 Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products and Achievements”, writing a new chapter of green mobility altogether.

The amount of new energy vehicle brand is an important feature of this year's GSA. Nearly 200 enterprises and more than 40 famous domestic and international automobile brands are invited to actively participate in the exhibition to celebrate the feast of new energy vehicles.

By the end of 2023, China had registered 7.43 million new energy vehicles and ownership of NEV reached 20.41 million, accounting for more than half of the world's total amount, meanwhile the annual domestic automobile production and sales volume have exceeded 30 million units. Forum of Green and Smart Auto Shanghai 2024, themed on “Scientific and Technological Innovation to Empower the High-quality Development of the Automobile Industry” will be held on June 6th. In the morning, the forum will focus on “Low Carbon Mobility under New Situation, Research on the Development Mode of Vehicle-Road-Network Integration”. Through the proposed scientific guidance, early layout, upgrading and transformation of a series of measures for the integrated development of vehicle-road-network, the forum aims to provide guidance and seek solutions which all target to promote the popularization of China's new energy vehicles, optimize the quality of high-speed charging and enhance the effectiveness of vehicle-road-network synergies. . In the afternoon, “Forum on the Low Carbon Development of Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Vehicles” will be held. The 2024 Automotive Electrification Innovation Technology Summit will be around the high-quality technical development of new energy “EIC system” (motor, electronic control, battery), providing comprehensive technical solutions to the rising trend of electrification and empowers enterprises to seek the core competitive advantage of products and sustainable development of cost-effectiveness.
